2016 Xmas Rock-POP music recorded in a Phuket recording studio Thailand
A brand new 2016 Xmas rock-POP track has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main goal of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then waiting for the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used session musicians to record the song over a 6 week period. The songs consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was done in the United States as a result of Mark wanted the most effective result and quality. The music is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main aim of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site that we can and then ideally in-turn they’ll be good enough to contribute to 1 or all of the Phuket charities, and to also download the song.
Another definitive goal is to get enough downloads of the song to help fund and create a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, which will provide free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood colleges and orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to promote his tune Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous methods to greatly help including a Phuket island Accommodation and cheap flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every cent helps.
