A Traveler’s Help guide to Zante or Zakynthos – The way to Go to the Best Ionian Island in Greece

Found in the Ionian Sea, Zante is part of Greece along with a popular vacation destination for people from all of all over the world.


Also known by the name “Zakynthos”, this tropical isle shares its name using the son of Dardanus, an iconic Arcadian chief. Individuals visiting this Mediterranean paradise have the choice of spending their holidays in Zakynthos luxury villas, with choices to suit any need and budget.

This can be a popular location for BASE jumpers with a major event for professionals held each August.

Hikers can go to the mountain village of Keri to the south and enjoy a journey to the lighthouse as well as panoramic views from the southern Ionian Sea. Natural arches along with other unique rock formations line the western shore between “Skinari” and “Keri”. The Venetian castle perched atop “Bochali Hill” is the place to visit survey the city from the bird’s-eye view.
