An original choice for openings wider than 42 inches are single panel pivot doors or pivoting doors.

Hillcrest Pivot Doors is often a specialty branch of Fenstermann LLC. We build large custom gates from wood, aluminum and steel as well as set them up as a pivot door. A pivot door doesn’t have regular hinges – your hardware is in the top and bottom of the door then when the threshold opens, the key portion opens on the inside and aspect of it pivots out. Door sizes from 72 inches to 144 inches in height are possible using this type of hardware. The keeps the threshold open at 90 degrees or self closes at the little push. Electromagnetic locks are available too and could be integrated on the house security system.
The aluminum pivot doors are generally shaker style having a clear tempered glass piece or extra vertical or horizontal bars. They are custom powder coated that gives them a finished look – over 1200 colors are available. Being a specialty, perform powder coat most of our doors after we build them – in this way there are not visible miters for the finished door.
Our wood pivot doors are designed on your certain requirements and specs. The doorway panels may be steel reinforced or from LVL and each style are finished with solid faces plus an edge band. The finish/stain will be done for the jobsite after installation – what this means is perfect protection of the wood door from start to finish.
