A brand new 2016 Christmas rock-POP tune has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main purpose of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks genre is a special up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo track since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the recording process and used local session musicians to studio record the song over a 6 week period. The track consists of 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA as a result of Mark wanted the very best result and quality. The song is now ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The key goal of recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then we hope in-turn they’ll be kind enough to contribute to one or any of the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
The other main goal is to have enough downloads of the music to fund and create a Phuket live music pub with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, which will provide free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open right now but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to advertise his music Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was residing in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous ways to help including a Phuket island Resort and budget flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every cent helps.
