Using a bunch of new materials and production methods invented inside the mid-20th century, a barrage of new frame styles soon followed suit and large round frames found they’d slipped off of the stylistic radar. And it’s the truth that this classic style can continue to conjure a photo of refined, studious authority that’s meant big round framed specs haven’t strayed too far from the frame style peripheral. It’s why they’ve been the choice of thinkers and visionaries alike. Most importantly, though, it’s why the frame style is coming in a big way almost a hundred years after its first foray to the frontlines of fashion.

Big Rounded lenses are some of the few true oldies; A bit of fashion history that may still pull weight today. As frames, they’re an all rounder. They search top-notch smaller than average wirey, or massive and chunky. They can end a glance having a stamp of intellectualism, or they are able to invoke a sense of care-free psychedelia. And while they’re not always suitable for rounder faces, they are doing a good job of suiting most face shape.
