The renewable power sector in India is growing rapidly and presents an opportunity for strong financial returns. Mytrah Energy Limited shows up working in london and is one of several largest renewable energy producers in India today. Were pleased to present this paper, coded in partnership with PwC India, which explains the Indian renewables sector and highlights a number of the differences between it and the, perhaps also known, markets in Europe.

Having built a 560 MW operating portfolio during the last five years, Mytrah is benefitting from a number of the key differences highlighted in this paper:
1. India is short of power, thereby, new renewable capacity produces electricity with an undersupplied market.
2. Renewable capacity is quicker to promote than alternatives such as coal-fired power.
3. Renewable electricity costs are similar to that regarding electricity off their sources.

Not like Europe, where renewables have generally displaced existing generation capacity and required heavy subsidies, India advantages of truly market-led alternative energy demand, without significant subsidy. Strong support through the Government of India reinforces industry fundamentals, creating a dynamic market that’s growing. India already has 35 GW of sustainable energy capacity and offers to grow this 500% on the next six years.

What he perfectly located at the sector was surprising. India’s wind energy potential is all about 80,000 MW; 15,000 MW has already been placed on the floor. But there was not a single large IPP [independent power producer] in the business. “Countries like Spain have a lot of listed wind entities, in India it really is close to nil. Compare this to around 20 listed thermal companies. As well as in another A decade, wind as an industry include something such as 50,000 MW. That’s a mainstream number,” says Kailas.

In our opinion, India is the most exciting power market on the planet, specifically renewables. With 400 MW in construction today as well as a pipeline exceeding 3,500 MW, we at Mytrah Energy Limited continually play an important role inside the growth of renewable capacity. Develop you will have this paper to become a useful and informative resource and are glad to engage in further discussion.
