The Walking Dead Preview
In an era of entertainment where vampires and crime dramas are center stage, the spot that the hell are common the zombies? We’re also in definite need of an apocalyptic setting, and AMC is placed to provide us that with its upcoming series The Walking Dead. Airing Halloween, The Walking Dead will be based upon a very long running comic strip series authored by Robert Kirkman. The comics Give attention to the trials and tribulations of Rick Grimes plus a select few of survivors after having a zombie outbreak. What commences as being a simple journey to get his wife and son, the series quickly develops into a story of betrayal and survival in a very an entire world of psychopaths and killers.
Initially placed in Kentucky, Grimes, an operating the suburbs police officer, is wounded in the gun grapple with a fugitive. Falling in to a coma, he later wakes as part of his hospital bed lost and ignorant of the current developments which have befallen the earth. He eventually meets a classic man with his fantastic son, and decides to set out for Atlanta to seek out his very own family. Even though this stunt nearly gets him killed, he eventually meets track of a ragtag gang of survivors and it’s reunited together with his wife and son. After that, The Walking Dead gets to be a quest through hell and high water to enjoy an event of tired, homesick, desperate people to salvation.
One defining feature from the comic series is the amount of internal struggle and strife between the survivors. These days of decay, things are extremely hard to call home with, and chances of survival are limited. Everyone in the story is painfully aware of this (one chief way of avoiding zombies is always to rub yourself with their meat), and it wears about them day in and trip. It could be an excellent disservice for the books when the television series isn’t going to bring this for the forefront. They have to show a lot of struggle, not only while using masses of undead but within each character too.
It is interesting to note that in a very recent interview with Robert Kirkman, he let slip that there will likely be some non-comic story elements worked in, and the series can easily on some type of cliffhanger that wasn’t featured inside the comics. Contrary, will probably be interesting to view the way the new areas of the story plot will likely be included in the six episode series.
The characters inside story are dynamic, and many in the series involves dialog between survivors. The characters within this story leave in the same way fast when they appear, as well as the story is full of interesting twists and turns. It’s really a fantastic story, and I have faith that in case you watch one episode you will be hooked. No hand glowing fairies or southern vampires here, just brainless flesh-consuming hordes from the undead.
